It is essential to quickly clean the mess and remove the stain or you can have a permanent poop stain on your carpets. Nothing makes carpet look dirtier than a pet’s stain, not to mention the smell. What is the Best Dog Poop Stain Remover?

When it comes to cleaning up your pet’s poop or any other stain, it is essential that you act fast. You will of course need to remove the poop first. Be careful on how you remove it. You do not want to spread or smear the feces across the carpet. The best method is to use a paper towel and pick it straight up and dispose of your pet’s waste. Make sure to remove all of the solid pieces as soon as possible. Once all of the feces has been removed, you will then want to create a cleaner mixture or use a commercial carpet cleaner for pet stains and accidents. Follow the manufacture’s directions as commercial products will vary. If you need to create your own carpet cleaning mixture, mix together 2 cups of cold water, one tablespoon of liquid dish soap and one tablespoon of white vinegar. You can pour the mixture into a spray bottle or in cup. Then pour or spray the mixture over the stain. Give the cleaner a few minutes to break down the stain. Then using a dry white cloth, begin to blot at the stain. You want the cloth to absorb the cleaner and stain into the cloth. Try to avoid scrubbing at the stain as you can spread it. Only use a blotting motion when cleaning carpet stains. Apply the cleaner as the cloth absorbs more and more of the moisture and then return to blotting until the stain is gone. Make sure to rinse out the site using plain water to remove the soap residue from the carpet. Never leave soap in the carpet as it will trap dirt and the stain will return. When rinsing out the carpet use plain water and the same blotting technique to remove soapy residue. Once the stain is gone and the carpet has had time to dry, sprinkle baking soda heavily over the site of the accident. Leave the baking soda for 30 minutes and then vacuum it up. The baking soda will remove any odors in the carpet.
